Things aren't going so peachy for Courteney Cox and David Arquette in real life, and it looks like the same holds true for their "Scream" alter-egos Gale and Dewey.

E! Online has debuted the first photo from the "Scream 4," and it shows the trio of Cox, Arquette and Neve Campbell, a.k.a. "Scream" queen Sidney Prescott, reunited for the first installment in the franchise since 2000. We're not sure what's got them looking spooked, but safe money is that it has something to do with a certain Ghostface Killer.

The photo hits the Web just a few days before Arquette and Campbell are set to introduce brand-new "Scream 4" footage at Spike's 2010 Scream Awards, which will tape on Saturday and air Tuesday night.

Directed by horror maestro Wes Craven and written by series creator Kevin Williamson, "Scream 4" catches up with our heroes 10 years after the events of "Scream 3," when Sidney returns to her hometown of Woodsboro, California, for a short visit and -- as Craven told MTV News -- "all hell breaks loose."

In a weird case of art imitating life (or is it the other way around?), Cox and Arquette's characters in the film are also experiencing marital woes. With "Scream 4" planned to launch a new trilogy in the slasher series, it'll be interesting to see how Gale and Dewey -- and Courteney and David -- resolve their issues.

"Scream 4" is due to hit theaters April 15, 2011.
