Blake Lively Leonardo DiCaprio Caught In The Walk Of Shame?

Earlier this month we learned that Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Refaeli ended their relationship … and then just days later we started hearing that Leo was hooking up with Gossip Girl star Blake Lively in France. The couple have been spotted in one another’s company but nothing really seemed to show anything really suspicious … [...]

Yesterday afternoon, David and I made our way to the ArcLight Theater in Hollywood, CA to catch an early showing of The Hangover Part II. Because I had an important concert to attend last night, I wanted to see the film before the weekend took hold and I missed seeing it altogether. Going into seeing this movie, I honestly wasn’t expecting very much. Everything I heard was that Part II was pretty much exactly like the original film … but set in Bangkok. I have to say, there really wasn’t anything new in the sequel that made it any better … but if you enjoyed The Hangover, chances are you will also enjoy The Hangover Part II.

I have to say … the movie was only incidentally funny. Someone gets hurt — laugh. Someone get’s a face tattoo — laugh. The monkey does something funny — laugh. But all the written jokes fell totally flat. The entire theater we were in was mostly silent for most of the film. I, personally, didn’t find many of the jokes funny but I didn’t hate the film. You deffo know what you’re in for before you even step foot in the theater … on that account, the movie does not disappoint. I guess I was expecting some change in the formula in this sequel to make it more interesting … but it was pretty much the same exact movie all over again … right down to the photo montage at the end with the credits. Was I entertained? Yes, mildly. Did I hate the film? Not really. Is it a great movie? I can’t say that it is … but, again, I think most people will know if they will like the film before they even seen the film. If you think you will enjoy The Hangover Part II, then you prolly will. If you think you won’t, you won’t.

Did any of y’all see The Hangover Part II yet? What did YOU think?

Suspected Cult Leader Kills Four Year Old Boy Because He Believed Him To Be Gay

This is possibly the most horrific, tragic, and chilling story that we've heard in quite some time.
Peter Lucas Moses, a religious extremist and possible cult leader in North Carolina, has been charged with not only killing 28-year-old Antoinetta Yvonne McKoy, but also his four-year-old stepson Jadon Higganbothan, because he believed him to be gay!
According to [...]

Seriously - how do movies like this continue to get made?!

Feel free to check out the trailer for Adam Sandler's new movie, Jack & Jill, in which he plays the dual parts of a married man dealing with the return of his obnoxious, clearly not female twin sister, which also stars Katie Holmes and Al Pacino (above)!

Or don't. It's just as atrocious-looking as it sounds!

Do people actually think comedians dressed in bad drag parading around as though they look legitimately female are funny?!

Barf!

Tragedy Hits Oslo, Norway

This is so horrible and so sad.
A bomb went off in Oslo, Norway today, ripping through buildings including the Prime Minister's office.
Horribly, that's not the only incident. Just outside the city, a man dressed as a police officer opened fire at youngsters at a youth camp connected to the ruling party.
It looks like the [...]

Yuck.

We're very sad to report that Casey Anthony's lawyer, Jose Baez, is negotiating with NBC, ABC, and CBS to determine who will pay the most for the female OJ's first exclusive interview!

According to sources, there is a "big price tag for the interview," they are also offering to license photos and other material, and so far, it seems like ABC and NBC are the frontrunners, with the latter taking the lead.

As much as we're aware how high-profile this case was, we're pretty disgusted to think that this woman is managing to make a profit off of her child's murder, and worse yet, that these networks are willing to pay her to do so.

We'd personally prefer that she just disappear and leave the public eye forever, but we doubt that's going to happen for a very long time.

So sad.

Jennifer Aniston Justin Theroux Hold Hands . . . IN PUBLIC

They may have gotten cozy in photos and they may have appeared in public together but it wasn’t until yesterday that new couple Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux showed any public displays of affection for one another. Jen and Justin made their way thru London’s Heathrow Airport hand-in-hand … which is a SURE sign that [...]

Yesterday was a kind of a bummer day for me … after 3 years together … I had to say goodbye to my beloved VW. Wülfgang Jürgen-Klaüs was the VW Tiguan that I leased 3 years ago and after careful consideration, I decided to give the car back to the dealership. Despite the decision not to buy the car, I did love it and miss it muchly. It was a long, somewhat sad drive to the VW dealership yesterday … I did my best to relish the last moments with Wülfie before I had to say goodbye.

I’m not sure what car I’m going to get next but I’m thinking about going with an American car from a Detroit car company. David and I really love his Cadillac so I might get one myself. But, I can’t really test drive any cars right now. This afternoon, David and I fly up to San Francisco, CA to spend the weekend with his brother Aram and then in early August we’re off to Rhode Island to visit David’s parents before we spend some time in NYC visiting his sister Eden. After our travels are finished, I’m going to start car shopping.

It’s weird … I’ve never not had a car since getting my license at 16. It’s weird being carless. Both Detroit, MI and LA, CA are big driving cities … I kinda feel naked. I’ll miss my VW but it won’t be long until I find my next baby ;)

Gabrielle Giffords And Husband Writing A Memoir

The only thing many people know about Rep. Gabrielle Giffords is that she was shot in the head during a tragic spree by a horrible man.
Yet, as with anyone, there is a whole story to the person outside of their public image becoming dominated and defined by one specific event. And luckily, Gabrielle and her [...]

Roger Ebert caused a bit of controversy yesterday when he scolded deceased Jackass star Ryan Dunn yesterday via Twitter for allegedly being drunk during the crash that took his life, as well as Zachary Hartwell's, and now, the movie critic has taken to his blog to clarify and somewhat apologize for his insensitivity!

He writes:

"To begin with, I offer my sympathy to Ryan Dunn's family and friends, and to those of Zachary Hartwell, who also died in the crash. I mean that sincerely. It is tragic to lose a loved one. I also regret that my tweet about the event was considered cruel. It was not intended as cruel. It was intended as true. I have no way of knowing if Ryan Dunn was drunk at the time of his death. I don't know what happened in this case, and I was probably too quick to tweet. That was unseemly. I do know that nobody has any business driving on a public highway at 110 mph, as some estimated -- or fast enough, anyway, to leave a highway and fly through 40 yards of trees before crashing. That is especially true if the driver has had three shots and three beers. Two people were killed. What if the car had crashed into another car?"

We certainly understand where Ebert is coming from, and of course, don't support or condone anyone's actions when they are intoxicated and get behind the wheel of a car.

That being said, this is a sad, HOriffic situation all around, and we also don't think it's anyone's business to be pointing the finger of blame right now, especially when so many are devastated with grief.

Everyone knows mistakes were made, and unfortunately, it seems as though Dunn and his friend are paying the ultimate price for his. No need to point out the obvious, just let his family and loved ones mourn and try to make sense out of such a terrible tragedy.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you affected right now, and may Ryan and Zachary R.I.P.

Celebrity Engagement Rings (PHOTOS)

With all this talk about Kim Kardashian’s engagement ring, I thought it would be fun to take a look at some other celebrity engagement rings, and do some comparing! Kim Kardashian’s engagement ring is all anyone is talking about and it’s easy to see why. The ring is a Lorraine Schwartz design – 16.5 carats, emerald cut center stone, edged by two 2-carat trapezoids. All in all it is a total of 20.5 carats, and $20 million! The second most talked about engagement is of course that of Prince William and Kate Middleton. It was a very special ring, as he gave her his mother’s ring, an 18-carat oval sapphire ring, that is surrounded by 14 smaller white diamonds. Originally it cost $65,000, but given the circumstances, it is now considered priceless. Hilary Duff’s 14-carat diamond engagement ring set hubby, Mike Comrie, back by a cool $1 million. Mariah Carey has a 17- carat, one of a kind Jacob and Co. emerald cut diamond, with a 10-carat pink center stone, surrounded by 58 pink diamonds and two half moon-cut diamonds and is worth $2.5 million. Katherine Heigl has one of the more unique pieces, a 3-carat pear shaped ring, designed [...]

Watch: A Clip Of Taylor Lautner Kickin Ass In Abduction Hits The Internets

Back in April we got our first look at the first movie trailer for Twilight star Taylor Lautner‘s new feature film Abduction. Today, courtesy of Jimmy Kimmel Live, we get to see an almost 1-minute clip from the film that shows Lautner‘s character kickin’ some major ass on a speeding train. I have to say, [...]

After missing the show on Broadway, David and I were very excited to learn that the Tony Award-winning play God of Carnage was being performed here in LA with the original Broadway cast — Marcia Gay Harden, Hope Davis, James Gandolfini and Jeff Daniels. We waited for a performance where we could get really good tickets so that is why we waited until the show nearly ends its run to see it. The show ends performances here in LA this weekend … but we managed to get really good seats for our show. In short, we both loved God of Carnage very much … and we were very surprised at how the drama unfolded on stage ;)

I think it’s best that I not spoil the parts of the show that surprised us the most … but I will tell you that the play is very funny and not at all really dramatic. The acting was superb by all of the players and the story is simple on the surface but fairly complex underneath. I knew the basic premise of the play before seeing the show last night but I was NOT at all expecting it to turn out the way it did. There were parts of the show that were so riotously funny, I almost fell out of my chair. There was another part that almost had me running for cover (we were in the front row). God of Carnage is a fantastic play … one I heartily recommend wholeheartedly. If you get the chance to see it with the original Broadway cast, you MUST! I’m sorry I missed seeing it on Broadway but am very happy that I got to experience the same Broadway magic, with the same players, right here at home in LA.

Subliminal pertains to below the threshold of consciousness. Stimuli that slide below this threshold with consciousness are stimuli which, while not consciously recognized, may influence judgment, attitude, and behavior on a great unconscious level. Subliminal influences have got a similar purpose as hypnosis because they attempt to reach the subconscious to support effect desired change when used in a positive manner.

No UK Still For Savage

We kinda wonder what it's like not to have such a hateful and homophobic person be allowed to spread himself in your country.

While we're all for free speech, we can't help but like the idea of what the UK has imposed upon American shock-jock Michael Savage (real name Michael Weiner was changed — because doesn't Savage sound much more badass?). Not only that, but it looks like the UK has no intention of lifting the ban, either.

Here's the latest info:

In the latest communiqué from the British government, Michael Atkins, writing on behalf of the U.K.'s treasury solicitor, told Savage's London-based attorney, "Your client has not provided any evidence to show that he did not commit the unacceptable behaviour" that prompted the "decision to exclude him, nor has your client provided any acceptable evidence to show his repudiation of those unacceptable behaviours."

Atkins said Savage can do nothing at the moment to affect his status and must wait until December, when the decision is scheduled for review.

Savage has the 3rd most listened to radio show in the States. Either people really dig what he's saying, or most people just want to hear what he's going to say next as a form of entertainment. We hope it's the latter.

We'll see what happens come December!

Do U think he should be banned?

Welp … that’s it. The very final episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show has aired in parts of the country, including the show’s home city of Chicago, IL. As expected, there were no guests on today’s final episode … it was just Oprah and her audience. Oprah shared her love, thanks and tentative goodbyes to her audience in the studio and watching around the world. Click below to watch video excerpts from Oprah‘s final show … including her final “until we meet again” that closed out the show.

It’s hard to believe that after 25 years, The Oprah Winfrey Show is really over … but it is over … finite … dunzo. Thanks for everything, Oprah. You are much loved and your daily talk show will be missed by many, I’m sure.

Modern Classical Music

Over a meal, I had a friend wax philosophic about this new band "Cut Copy". He said it was this great French band that sounded a lot like Joy Division. Once I got home, I noodled around on Google and saw a video of them performing on the Jimmy Fallon show. These guys were performing some amazing music, but there was this guy wearing a gorilla outfit. I'm not sure what that was about, but he was going nuts on the tom toms. I think it distracted a bit from the song, but it definitely got my attention, so I decided to do some more digging.

Karaoke System: What Every Player Should Have

Music with soul moves people and when people venture out to see live music, they want to be moved. Folk music comes from the soul, it is the music of poor working class people who sang to describe stories of their people and traditions and who entertained each other through a love of music and song. They sang from the heart and nothing is louder than the heart in music.

Prince Charles degree

In a ceremony at St. James Palace in London on Monday, Prince Charles received the best type of college degree one can receive — the type you don't have to work for! LOLz!

We kid, we kid! We're sure he deserved the honorary degree from London Business School.

However, with the the economy in the shape it is, he'll probably have to start with an internship than work his way up, but eventually we know he'll be a successful businessman. Ha!

Oh no! The Broadway curse has weaseled its way onto the set of the new Spider-Man movie!

Thankfully, no one was hurt!

Three production grips found themselves trapped mid-air yesterday for three hours while working on the new movie, The Amazing Spider-Man, in Manhattan. The grips were attempting to build a platform six stories high that would support a camera set up on the roof of a building in Chinatown when a malfunction occurred on the crane they were on.

It took the FDNY three hours to finally rescue the three men as the computers for the crane, as one of the grips explained later, "went blank…like someone turned off the dark switch."

Thankfully, firefighters were finally able to get use of a cherrypicker - a crane on a truck with a basket at the end - and got the men down safely. With no one hurt and with every precaution taken to ensure the men were safe from further danger, we think the movie's fairing much better than the Broadway show has.

Let's just hope this isn't a bad omen for worse things to come!

noah-ark-theme-park.jpg

You know, we're pretty sure the country is still in a recession. How is it these people voted unanimously to have this thing built when there are people really struggling in this economy? It makes no kind of sense.

On Thursday, the Kentucky Tourism Development Finance Authority was granted approval to spend $40 million in tax rebates to build a biblical theme park called "The Ark Encounter." That's $40 MILLION to build a 70,00 square-foot "museum," complete with Noah's Ark and Gift Shop.

For months, sane people have been pleading with the board not to back Mike Zovath's, a co-founder of the Answers in Genesis ministry, controversial attraction, arguing the legitimacy of a religious attraction being funded by a state government. However, it seems their arguments have fallen on deaf ears as the entire Kentucky Tourism department voted for giving the large sum of money to the project, which coincidentally, will actually cost $172 million.

Gee, maybe you want to sucker some money out of the school boards next. Kids don't need to learn, right? Might as well funnel as much money into this loon idea as possible, right? RIGHT?!

Ridiculous!

For those of you who are really interested, the "park" will include the ark, a replica of the Tower of Babel, lecture halls, shops, theaters and, of course, a petting zoo.

Life As a Script Reader

The greatest artistic creative genius I've ever seen, have been those who can turn garbage into art. Not just gluing together junk, but really making waste into something unique, cool, and well, something you'd put into your home for instance. Why the Piano Is Special As an Instrument

Women in rock, an ever fascinating topic and when we come to dead rock stars we very often enter a world of glamour outside and rottenness inside, drug abuse, ecstasy followed by deep depression, orgies and all consuming hard work. One of the most tragic life stories is that of Janis Joplin. Born 1947 in Port Arthur, TX she was found dead only 27 years later in a motel room near the recording studio in LA.

Arnold And Maria Split Over Love Child

Did Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver separate over a love-child Arnold had? Arnold himself confirmed to the Los Angeles Times newspaper that he did indeed have an affair with a woman who was a member of the couple′s household staff, and had child with the woman. Arnold and Maria announced just over a week ago that they were separating after their 25-year marriage. Shriver, 55, had issued a statement several days ago saying that she felt that she had made too many sacrifices for his career. But Arnold tells a different story now that he apparently had a 20-year-long affair with the household staffer, resulting in a love-child who is now 10 years old. Don Lemon Has Brave Book

Very few reporters and anchors have come out as being gay to the public while still performing their duties. Not only that, but even fewer have written books about their lives in a completely open fashion, despite fears of being shunned and public backlash.

This is what makes Don Lemon so inspirational.

It might have taken him 45 years (he looks much younger, mind you!) to come out publicly (literally to the public, close friends and family have known, including some coworkers at CNN), but he is not holding back any longer. His book tell of his struggle as a gay man reporting the news in the public eye, and having been molested as a child. Nothing is too personal.

And it took him a while to come to that point, there were definitely hesitations. But, as a reporter through and through, he felt it was his duty to hold himself, his own story, to that journalistic standard and give everyone the whole, unfiltered story:

“I’m scared. I’m talking about something that people might shun me for, ostracize me for. It’s quite different for an African-American male. It’s about the worst thing you can be in black culture. You’re taught you have to be a man; you have to be masculine. In the black community they think you can pray the gay away.

I abhor hypocrisy. I think if you’re going to be in the business of news, and telling people the truth, of trying to shed light in dark places, then you’ve got to be honest. You’ve got to have the same rules for yourself as you do for everyone else.”

We are definitely behind you 100% in your decision to write this book. The strength it has taken to do so can't be calculated, and we support you!

Not only that, but, it's wonderful to hear that you support others in the gay community coming out:

“I think it would be great if everybody could be out. But it’s such a personal choice. People have to do it at their own speed. I respect that. I do have to say that the more people who come out, the better it is for everyone, certainly for the Tyler Clementis of the world.”

We hear that, Don. It was such a tragedy what happened to Tyler, who tragically committed suicide after his roommate leaked footage of a homosexual encounter on the web.

You truly are someone to look up to, and we applaud you! Hope the book, Transparent, does well!

It’s just too hilarious for words. Check out the clip below.

I can’t even … I mean … LOL!!! To be honest, the guy who answered incorrectly shouldn’t feel bad … he made the same mistake that countless people who have heard Born This Way have been making for months now. This video was just too amazingly funny not to share ;D
